When Callie Woodland decides to become a donor to make money to save her sickly brother, Tyler, she discovers that the mind-body transfer is not an innocent as it seems. Some Enders want to retain the bodies they take over. The government also wants to use the Starters for its own agenda.

I want more. Revelations are linked beautifully. The end left me speechless, a wave of emotion went through me. An open ending that leaves you in suspense, with the expectation of a series of adventures.

Most kids left without parents and live on the streets. Evul company Prime Destinations run by the Old Man using and abusing vulnerable teenagers so their bodies can be temporarily taken over by the old who want to feel young again. She constantly did things that put herself in danger. She irritated me especially when she kept palming off her little brother to her doormat best friend Michael every chance she got. For someone that was meant to love her brother she jumped at any chance to dump him with someone else just so she could play hero.
Plot[ edit ] Starters takes place in a futuristic Los Angeles, where a biological weapon has killed everyone not vaccinated against it. The only ones that survive the attack are either under 20 or over 60 years of age, due to being given priority for the vaccine before the war. The term "Starters" refers to those under the age of 20, while "Enders" is used to describe the survivors over the age of Because Starters are underage and not allowed to work, many of them are starving and desperate, not having funds to afford necessities. Some Starters have heard of an illegal way to earn money by allowing Enders to temporarily inhabit their bodies via a neurochip implanted by the Body Bank. Sixteen-year-old Callie is one such Starter, who has lived in abandoned buildings with her brother Tyler and friend Michael thus far to survive.
