There are an additional eleven Wandering Princes, totalling thirty-one spirit leaders who each rule several to a few dozen spirits. The Ars Paulina is in turn divided into two books, the first detailing twenty-four angels aligned with the twenty-four hours of the day, the second derived more from the Heptameron detailing the spirits of the degrees of the zodiac. A 15th-century copy is attested to by Robert H.

Turner, and Hebrew copies were discovered in the 20th century. The Ars Almadel instructs the magician on how to create a wax tablet with specific designs intended to contact angels via scrying. The Ars Notoria contains a series of prayers related to those in The Sworn Book of Honorius intended to grant eidetic memory and instantaneous learning to the magician.

It probably dates from the 17th century, although it is based on texts at least as old as the 14th century. Mathers transcribed it into a more modern English, and copied I think the illstrations. There are 72 different demons described, each with one or sometimes two seals. I have scanned the seals at dpi, because I could not find any acceptable scans on the Web. The designs of the seals are long out of copyright. For the extracts I have used a combination of two versions that you can easily find online, and I have compared them to the edition edited by Hymenaeus Beta and published by Samuel Weiser; the text was published in the US in , and is out of copyright, although that edition was probably not authorised by Crowley or Mathers. Since Crowley attributed the text to Mathers, however, who died in , it is all out of copyright.

He speaketh with a Comely Voice, and declareth that he fell first from among the worthier sort, that were before Michael, and other Heavenly Angels. It really helped to see all the names and ranks of the different demons, too. I mainly only bought it because I still like Demonology. See all shopspell has no other items for sale. An interesting read, but one that will need read several times over for better understanding.
