Abstract This article is a study in the area of Physical Education and Culture Wunderlich, who has as reference the theoretical assumptions Daolio , Brougere , Geertz , Mauss and Kishimoto The research objective is to make an investigation based on the concepts of culture, play culture, game, toy, play and physical education, creating a relationship with the physical education of children, in order to transform the teaching resources in recreational activities that stimulate and leverage child development.

We assume as hypothesis that the use of recreational activities in the learning process becomes more pleasurable, spontaneous and creative, enriching the development not only motor but also cognitive, affective and social development of learners, since it can learn playing in formal and non-formal.

Educators make use of play activities only in cases of waste of energy and recreation, so that they focus on activities conducted before the issue becomes relevant in a study area that recognizes the play culture as part of the learning process-. For the study methodology was used as a literature review.
